What is expected from these courses?
Beginner Level(Equivalent to CER A1-A2 level)
The Beginner Level exam shapes much of the content of this course: listening, writing, reading, speaking and grammar each make up equal parts of the class. Students will have to work hard at this level and are expected to do large blocks of homework. The work pays off, as students begin to feel more confident about using and understanding Spanish.
Practice tests are given well before each official exam period (May, November, August*) to decide if students are prepared to take the exam. Trained and experienced examiners help students with skills and strategies to prepare for all aspects of the exam and candidates are given extensive extra practice, especially for the speaking part of the exam.
Intermediate Level (Equivalent to CER B1-B2 level)
The objective of this course is for students to reach the level required for the Intermediate Exam. As this is an examination class, students are expected to work especially hard both in and outside the classroom. Writing and speaking are the two main focuses of classes.
Practice tests are given well before each official exam period (May, November, August*) to decide if students are prepared to take the exam. Trained and experienced examiners help students with skills and strategies to prepare for all aspects of the exam and candidates are given extensive extra practice, especially for the speaking part of the exam.
Advanced Level (Equivalent to CER B2-C1-C2 level)
The Advanced Level course is for students who have passed the Intermediate Level course (or have an equivalent level). The level of linguistic competence required to pass this course is very high. Once again, as this an examination class, students are expected to work especially hard both in and outside the classroom.
Practice tests are given well before each official exam period (May, November, August*) to decide if students are prepared to take the exam. Trained and experienced examiners help students with skills and strategies to prepare for all aspects of the exam and candidates are given extensive extra practice, especially for the speaking part of the exam.
